Hi everyone, I'm Paddy, the developer behind URL Verifier Pro.
I've been writing software since the ZX Spectrum days, through the Amiga era and into Windows PCs. Over the years I've built everything from games and desktop software for personal projects and private clients, to websites, APIs and large business applications. I'm probably a bit old school, but I still enjoy building fast, native software that solves real problems.
URL Verifier Pro came from my own frustration with existing tools. Many have become subscription based or are packed with features I rarely needed. I wanted a fast, native Windows application that focused on bulk URL verification and did it well.
It checks HTTP status codes, redirects, metadata, robots.txt, TLS certificates and XML sitemaps. You can organise results with notes and tags, save scan sessions and export everything to CSV.
I'm also on a bit of a mission to prove there's still a place for software you simply buy once and own. My goal is to build a growing collection of professional desktop applications with no subscriptions and free lifetime updates.

Bulk CSV import worked smoothly and pulling page titles plus canonicals in one pass saved me a ton of time on a site migration. Solid tool for the price.
Love that it's a native Windows app instead of another bloated electron wrapper, and the lifetime updates model is honestly refreshing compared to all the subscription tools out there.
Would love to see a scheduled verification option so I can run checks automatically on a weekly basis and just get an email with what changed since the last run. That would save me from manually re-running audits every time the site updates.

Pulled in a sitemap of around 2k urls and the TLS cert check alone saved me a ton of grunt work, really handy for migrations honestly
This looks genuinely useful for site migrations. One thing I'd love to see is built-in duplicate URL detection during import, since throwing thousands of URLs from sitemaps into a CSV often means the same page shows up twice and skews the audit results. Would make the tool even more solid for the QA use case.
Would be great if it could schedule recurring checks on a list so you can catch broken links or expired certs automatically instead of running the same batch manually each month. Pretty much a set-and-forget mode would make this way more useful for ongoing SEO work.
Finally gave the CSV import a spin and it handled a 10k row file without choking, which was way better than my usual spreadsheet hack. The TLS certificate details per URL are a nice touch for site audits.
Love that it bundles TLS cert checks and sitemap parsing into one native app instead of juggling browser extensions and command-line tools. The CSV/TXT/website import combo is exactly what an SEO team needs during a site migration.
