While interning at UGLYCASH - The American Stablecoin App, I noticed that a huge margin of the stablecoin problem was accessibility and usability, and stablecoin apps solved that.
But there was still a GAP...
In most parts of the world, stablecoins and crypto are only used to store value, making INDIVIDUAL stablecoin holders still forced to sell their stablecoins and crypto to local fiat before they can spend them.
And this is because MERCHANTS don't accept crypto... (sad)
We spoke to 82 merchants (made up of merchants with stablecoin holders as customers: Workspaces, Car dealers, Jewelers, Real estate, etc.) about this problem, and they all gave different but related responses. Responses revolved around value loss during CONVERSION to local fiat, SETTLEMENT TIME, SPEED, and proper KNOWLEDGE about crypto and stablecoins.
That's where UNIOGATE comes in, a stablecoin app built for merchants...
So far, we've been building our software prototype and will soon have something for the public. Also on our TIMELINE, we plan to release POS hardware for seamless and more advanced payment options
