Hey Makers and Hunters!

We built Unfold to return learning to its natural state: curiosity-driven, personalized, and self-directed.

Powered by Gemini 3, Unfold generates interactive animated courses on any topic you can think of – from "Casual dancing for confidence" to "The maths behind music." It creates a unique curriculum based on exactly what you want to learn and how you learn best.

But this is just v1, and I want this product to evolve into the best learning platform in the world. I can’t do that without your brutal honesty.

I need you to help shape this into something useful (not just what I think is good). Please give it a spin – it's free – and let me know:

  1. The "Low Hanging Fruit": What is one obvious thing I'm missing that would make this 10x better immediately?

  2. The Marketing: If this were your product, who would you target first?

  3. The Long Term: Can you see yourself using this to actually learn something new, or does the novelty wear off?

I’ll be hanging out in the comments all day. Let’s talk!

I created a course. Loved the way it worked until it didn't. Instead of text Unfold beautifully animates expressions (of code) and the level of simplicity (or complexity) was just right (I think the qualifier questions are a brilliant design decision). The course stopped after a few lessons, I wonder if it is because of token constraints. What you have here is a brilliant MVP, I hope the team can iterate and take it further. All the best!

Absolutely helpful tool! Very cool! I loved the interactive components of the lessons. It took very complex topics and broke them down in a way that is easy to understand and with interactions that help drive home the lesson. Thank you!! Here is some feedback I hope you find useful:

  • Adding the ability to go backwards when answering the initial questions in case I wanted to clarify something.

  • Adding some context to what will be created on the page where it asks how long and detailed you would like the course to be. For example - If I pick 1-2 hours a week for 4-6 weeks the context added would be something like “X number of lessons lasting x long covering topics ranging from x, y, z in a light/deep way” - the same kind of thing that is on the last screen but in that step so that it helps the user understand how detailed the course will be before it can’t be undone. Or perhaps a back button on the final screen to change anything?

  • Regenerate an interactive component separately rather than regenerate all of them. Some can be a tad off, but most are just great in the course I created.

  • The ability to export the interactive components. I am not sure what this would entail or if we can copy embeds of each component?

  • The ability to edit any part of the transcript before the audio is created.

  • Occasionally, the timing is off for an interactive component. Would there be a way to edit the timing of components?

  • When the interactive visual is not quite how you want it, a way to add our own.

Once again, the course I generated for myself was extremely helpful to me and I appreciate the effort you have put into this tool.

Wow, love the idea! Especially the interactive animations. Is there a possibility to save courses in folders or to delete them? And is every generated course publicly available?

@unlikefraction Gemini 3 for course generation is exciting! Does @Unfold create actual interactive elements (quizzes, code sandboxes, design challenges), or is it mainly text/video?

Also curious how it handles design-focused content, can it generate UI/UX courses with visual examples?

For freelancers creating client training materials or design system docs, automated course creation would save tons of time.

Hey guys, I tried it, and wow — it was great! But I have a question: what do you think about your onboarding duration? I thought it was a bit too long, but maybe it’s necessary.

I clicked on course design and found it all plain text. Do you have plans to generate a diagram for it ? That would be more illustrative. BTW, do you have an app ? I think I prefer to learn things on my phone in leisure time more than PC

wow,
I just generated my JEE physics chapter and I am convinced I wasted lakhs of money on coaching without acquiring the real knowledge

Please set expectations about signup/data before you provide tools that engage the user. If I start using a tool and a barrier to entry is to create an account before I get started/any value has been delivered, all good. But if I start using the tool and then out of nowhere - to continue you want a sign-up, I will walk away. I do not like the tease and it sets the tone that you'll hide features behind paywalls, or "coming soon" later. It's a sign of hype.

Just finished my first course. Incredible, concise, simple interface, and very customized. I asked for marketing help for my business and also added a not-so-technical prompt of energy work and it nailed it. It gave both practical and visualization homework! Insane work.

Nice work, I like how you used iframes to make the courses feel more interactive!

Congrats on launch! 🎉
I love the idea of instantly generating interactive courses with AI + personalization. From a messaging/clarity perspective: when you frame Unfold to a first-time visitor — what’s the one core transformation you want them to believe they’ll get (vs just “generate course”)?
In many learning tools the gap between “what we build” and “what users expect” kills conversion. Would be curious how you think about that for Unfold.

I just tried it and generated a course on how to play a musical instrument. It’s really impressive. I love how detailed and personalized the course is.

Can you download these videos after or you can use them only inside the platform?

A simple and elegant AI learning tool. I'm curious - what kind of content is this version best suited for right now? Coding, history, or something else?

This is truly next-level. I ill use it, as will many, to build learning resources for our products.

Congrats! This is a cool ideia but also seems like there is some opensource alternatives comming in like: https://x.com/nutlope/status/199... Curious how you gonna make it to stay on top & unique. Good luck 🤞
