The new version of Uneed is finally here, and is called "Uneed Community" ✨ There are A LOT of changes in this release, and we won't be able to go through all of them. But the two most important ones are: 💅🏻 A complete redesign of the website 📰 An X-like feed The idea is to slowly pivot Uneed from a simple launch platform to what we'll call a social launchpad. You'll be able to market your product every day, to give/ask for feedback, and more.
Hey makers 👋🏻
Today is a big day for Uneed, as we slightly pivot from a simple launch platform to a full community of builders and entrepreneurs.
With 45K registered users and 6 years of existence, we're making our biggest move yet 👀.
Imagine a twitter feed, but for makers only, and built around your products. Build your waitlist, ask for feedback, share your wins and struggle, in the new Uneed Community 🙌🏻!
It's impressive to see how Uneed has changed over the last few years. I like how you're cooking your own thing by taking the good from the big apps that you like while filtering out their downsides. Bravo chef ;)
You are doing an amazing job with this site Thomas, keep it up and best of luck! Your friends from Sevalla
It actually seems a bit absurd to launch a product on a website that is literally the same site's rival :)
I’d give Uneed Community’s relaunch a solid 7/10: the visuals and concept land perfectly, but turning the platform “social” is a double-edged sword—whether it actually boosts product visibility or just creates more noise will depend on how the algorithm and community management play out.
Hey Thomas,
Just registered on Uneed. :D It is really nice! Great job there. Appreciate the creative gamification, specially the lottery. The paid features are also nice.
Just one feedback, when I registered, and a pop up came up immediately after that. The button "Get Started" does not work for me. Attaching a screenshot for your guidance. I had to close the pop up to go ahead.
Best, Akshay
Huge congrats! 🎉 Turning launches into ongoing conversations is brilliant. Quick question — how will Uneed balance signal vs. noise as the feed grows?
So good to see Thomas growing this from a small project to something that’s used by thousands
As someone who's launched before without a huge following, I know how brutal it can be to get buried. Guaranteed homepage spot? That's huge.
I'm curious about the "submit to 75+ platforms" bundle - do you manually vet each directory submission, or is there an automated QC process? And the DR 72 backlink caught my eye too. Does every product get that, or is it performance-based?
Congrats and excited to see where you take this, Thomas!
Congrats on the launch of Uneed Community! The redesign looks fantastic, and the pivot towards a social launchpad is exciting.
Curious, how’s the response been so far? Any specific marketing goals or strategies you're focusing on to get the word out? Would love to hear more about your plans!
Good job Thomas! I am happy to see that Product Hunt approved your launch. Healthy competition is always good. Keep up the good work and I am looking forward to new features on Uneed.
Amazing product. This is an absolute must for the community. Congrats for pulling this off Thomas.
This is such a smart evolution! Turning a launch platform into a daily community for makers is exactly what we need. It's so hard to maintain momentum after launch day. Having a dedicated 'social launchpad' to share wins, get feedback, and build a waitlist over time is a game-changer. The new design looks fantastic. Can't wait to be a part of this
Congrats on launch! Really like the direction you're taking with the platform, keep it up.
Congrats on the launch! May I ask how this is different from Product Hunt? (not that it should be different - more places for new products, the better it is..)
@thomas_sanlis1Amazing idea! Really love the direction Uneed is taking. Could you share what types of products or services people can launch on Uneed, and what kind of response or traction creators typically see after launching?
Cool product! How'd you get past the initial stuggles with the network effect?
