i made uLuup for people who start things, stop, and then feel bad about it. it’s a simple habit app that forgives you when you miss a day. inspired by the idea of kintsugi, every time you return, your progress is repaired with gold.
hi everyone
i built uLuup because i was tired of giving up on myself whenever i couldn’t stay consistent.
i wanted something that felt kind, an app that forgives you when you miss a day instead of making you feel behind.
The idea came from kintsugi, the japanese art of repairing broken things with gold. i loved how it turns imperfections into something meaningful.
what makes uLuup different is the feeling, it’s not about streaks.
i work full-time as a developer and build uLuup alone in my spare time. it’s still simple, but i’d love to hear what you think or how it could feel more human.
thanks for being here
Congrats on the launch of uLuup! I love the kintsugi-inspired idea of forgiving missed days and making progress feel more meaningful.
Just curious, how’s the response been so far? What kind of marketing goals or strategies are you focusing on to spread the word? Would love to hear more about how you're getting the word out!
Love the kintsugi-inspired approach. A habit app that forgives missed days feels so human. Not chasing streaks is refreshing. Congrats on launching uLuup as a solo dev. Curious if there are gentle prompts for returning after a gap, like reflective nudges?
Hi Nazlican! I'm having trouble filling in the fields in the account creation process. It seems to freeze scroll after the first field has been filled. Also, I'd like to tap outside of the keyboard field and be able to select another field instead.
This is currently blocking me to test out the app further!
Device: iPhone SE (Latest release)
Feel free to reach out. I'd be happy to share my feedback live!
I share YouTube videos about building uLuup 🌿
it’s part of my “developing my app until I get my first 5 users” series ( I finally reached them :P but no feedback yet)
