I'm the maker of TypoGuard, and I wanted to share the story behind why I built this.
It started with an embarrassing moment — I sent a message to a client through Facebook Messenger with three typos in the first two sentences. The message had been "corrected" by my phone's autocorrect into something that didn't even make sense. I remember thinking: we have AI that can write entire essays, but I still can't get a simple spell check inside a chat window?
That frustration turned into TypoGuard.
The core idea is simple: your browser should silently fix your typos where you actually type — not in a document editor, but in ChatGPT, Gmail, Messenger, Claude, Airbnb messages, and everywhere else you communicate online. Inspired by Google's "Did you mean…", it suggests corrections before you hit send, powered by Gemini AI.
A few things I'm particularly proud of:
Zero friction install — no account, no API key, no credit card. One click and it works.
It covers platforms that no other tool touches (Booking Extranet for hotel managers, anyone?)
