Speak naturally, and Typeless for iOS will turn your speech into clear, polished messages, emails, and documents that read like you carefully typed them - in real time. Suddenly, your iPhone can do things that once felt impossible, effortlessly and at 10 times the speed.
👋 Hey Product Hunt! I’m Huang, the founder & CEO of Typeless.
We started Typeless with a belief:
The keyboard was a mistake.
Typing on a phone is where this mismatch becomes painfully obvious.
When the iPhone was introduced, Steve Jobs intentionally removed the physical keyboard. A fixed keyboard couldn’t adapt, but a virtual one could - and that decision defined the smartphone era.
We believe that wasn’t the final step.
The virtual keyboard was a transition. Voice is the next generation.

When we launched Typeless on Mac and Windows, tens of thousands of people resonated with this idea. And the number one request we heard, again and again, was:
“Bring Typeless to mobile.”
Today, I'm excited to launch Typeless for iPhone 🎉 (Android is coming next.)
Typeless for iOS is an AI voice keyboard that understands your intent and turns your raw speech into clear, polished, natural writing - effortlessly and in real time. No commands. No formatting tricks. It reads as if you carefully wrote it yourself.
--
Core features:
Works everywhere - Every app on your iPhone: iMessage, Slack, Mail, Notes, and more
AI auto-editing - Removes filler words, fixes grammar, and formats perfectly as you speak
Speak to edit - Revise, refine, or rephrase by simply saying what you want to change
Whisper mode - Dictate quietly and precisely in low-voice environments
100+ languages - Speak any language (or mix them); Typeless detects and transcribes automatically
Personal dictionary - Names, brands, and custom vocabulary learned once, never missed

This isn’t just a new app. It’s a new way to use your phone.
Welcome to the end of typing.

If Typeless makes using your iPhone feel more effortless, your support would mean a lot to us.
Tried Typeless on iOS for the last 24 hours and I'm completely sold on this method of workflow.
May I suggest a dark mode option, especially for the "Swipe back to continue" screen...
Congratulations on a wonderful product!
I have tried this out for a day or two and I am impressed – smoother and more functionality than many other keyboard transcribers. And I’m not seeing the typical inflated subscription! I get good cleaned up transcripts, commands to voice edit possible, and low friction. What’s not to like?
This app sounds like my dream come true! I will definitely give it a try. I want to work on “Voice mode” not typing mode. What I find particularly interesting is this I have to do it in a second language. Would be good to test if recognise my intent and specially my accent
I was indecisive between wisperflow and typeless, but I choose typeless instead (forgot about the initial reason, but prob bc of the overall design
As a founder and growth hacker, typeless helps me not only with the seamless devices switch but also crafting on the go messages to the best possible.
Good luck on your launch :)
I find Whisper Flow to be quite slow, and Lightning Dictation’s accuracy isn’t high enough. Typeless is currently the best choice for Mac. I think the recognition in the free version of Typeless is actually quite good, but it seems that after exceeding the free character limit, every sentence you say starts with a colon.
The evolution of how we capture ideas is fascinating:
📜 3000 BC: Papyrus (Portable writing)
⌨️ 1714: The Typewriter (Standardized text)
🖱️ 1979: GUI & The Mouse (Visual interaction)
📱 2007: The iPhone (Multi-touch)
... and now,
2025: Typeless.
We moved from command lines to clicking icons, then to tapping glass. Now, Typeless is finally reshaping the experience by making AI voice interaction the new standard. This feels like the start of a genuine efficiency revolution. Congrats on the iOS launch! 🚀
Used Typeless iOS on my commute today—handy for quick work texts. Turned my mumbly voice into a normal message (no random "ums"), only a tiny fix needed. Less hassle than the default voice-to-text.
I've been beta testing since early access. The improvements have been incredible - the team really listens!
The in-place editing is genuinely unique.
Without it, the workflow is painfully long: select text → copy → open ChatGPT → paste → explain what to rewrite (tone, style, constraints) → wait → copy the result → go back → paste again.
Typeless collapses all of that into a single, fluid step. That difference really matters in real-world writing.
I really love to use typeless to turn my idea into clear messages. Congratulations on your launch!
Does Typeless support offline mode? I travel internationally and don't always have data.
Quick question - can I use Typeless for dictating long-form content like blog posts or articles?
The app works flawlessly with AirPods. I look like I'm just listening to music while actually writing emails!
Congrats on this! Can Typeless integrate with calendar apps to dictate event details?
First of all, congrats on ranking #1. I checked out the app, and it’s well deserved. I’ve never really wanted to use a dictation option instead of the keyboard, but Typeless might change that.
One thing I noticed is that when I say app names like Zoho, Typeless recognises them as Chinese or Japanese (not completely sure which). It would be nice if we could set a couple of preferred languages so Typeless sticks to them. That’s my only feedback so far.
Merry Christmas!
