A baby name app for two parents. You each swipe on your own phone, and a name only shows up when you both like it. Hear each name with your last name. Twin Mode pairs sibling names. Free to try. $8.99 once for the household. No ads.
Hi Product Hunt, I'm Tyler.
My wife and I built Twofold in 2017 to name our first child. We kept getting stuck the same way: one of us would read a name out loud, the other would veto it on the spot, and the whole list felt like a negotiation.
So we made something simple. You each swipe on your own time. Passes stay private. A name only shows up when you both like it, so you only ever talk about names that already have two yeses.
We're naming identical twins now, which is why Twin Mode exists. It pairs sibling names so each one still works on its own, and Twin Canvas puts your top picks side by side.
A few things we cared about:
- No ads and no subscription. Free to try with 300 swipes, then $8.99 once for both phones.
- Matches for one baby are free.
- The name list lives on your phone, so it works offline.
- You can hear every name with your last name before you commit.
I'd love feedback, especially from anyone who has argued over names with a partner. What made it hard for you?
