I'm excited to share my new app on Product Hunt. It's called Twodos and it's already been featured on TechCrunch and in issue #28 of Installer from The Verge. So many apps I've used over the years were either too basic (a flat list of items), or unnecessarily complicated (tags, reminders, due dates, locations) and intrusive. None mapped to how I thought about todos, so I built this app. The magic of Twodos is in the delightful simplicity. It’s one screen with two lists: - Things you need to do sooner - Things you can worry about later Twodos is simple, but not basic. Here are just some of the features: 🥳 Delightful - Engaging sound, gesture and haptic design makes the whole experience feel special. 📱 Widget Support -Keep your todos close with support for Lock Screen and Home Screen widgets. 🎨 Custom Colors - Not in love with the monochrome vibes? Select an accent color that works for you. 🌓 Color Modes - Support for light and dark mode makes it easy on the eyes, day or night. 🔐 Private - Your todos are securely stored locally and backed up to your iCloud account. You are the only person who has access to them. No third-party tracking and no ads. 🤫 Quiet - Twodos doesn't send reminders or push notifications. Life is noisy enough. Twodos truly is the todo app I’ve always wanted, and I hope it helps you as much as it’s helped me. If you have any feedback, you can send it directly from the app (look for “Get In Touch” in Settings).

I'm thrilled to see Twodos making its debut on Product Hunt today! 🎉 Twodos stands out as an opinionated balance between simplicity and functionality. In a world cluttered with "everything apps", Twodo emerges as a breath of fresh air, embodying the principle that sometimes, less is more. The commitment to a distraction-free environment is particularly commendable. In an era where digital noise is the norm, choosing to eschew reminders and push notifications in favour of a quieter, more focused user experience is a bold and much-needed departure from the status quo. Flipping the script on traditional to-do lists, Twodos asks one brilliantly simple question: sooner or later? It's like having a personal life coach in your pocket, nudging you to focus on what's important without all the fuss. Great job, @adamwhitcroft. Congrats on the launch.

Congrats on the launch! Been seeing the journey on Twitter so wanted to say hi :) Simplicity in task management has become very helpful to me. Setting a due date on everything creates a lot of chaos, pressure, and results in me being less productive. Twodos looks like it is handling this problem well.

Love the "sooner" and "later" paradigm -- I've been doing this in my todo list for a while ("Todos" and "Soon") and it makes it easier to make sure that the most important things get my focus. Looks simple and beautiful 🙌🏻

Congratulations on the launch! I've often struggled to find a to-do app that strikes the right balance between simplicity and functionality, so Twodos sounds like it could be the perfect solution. Great work!

Congratulations on the launch of Twodos! The app's focus on simplicity is fantastic. I'm curious about the technical aspects – how did you approach the engaging sound, gesture, and haptic design to create a delightful user experience? Additionally, with the support for custom colors and color modes, how challenging was it to implement these features while ensuring a seamless and visually appealing design? Good luck 🚀

Delightfully simple in its concept, and thoughtfully designed to the last detail. Love this app.

Thanks for bringing simplicity back to task lists. Also, loving the haptic and visual feedback on the interactions. Another dope @adamwhitcroft product.

Simple and so useful, I'd been doing my daily todos in Apple Notes, a list of todos I knew I needed to do today, and this app basically takes that and makes it beautiful and fun.

Congrats on the release! I'm downloading this right away to see if it works with my daily workflow and how to compares to the new Clear! :)

A lot of hype around it, at least for me. The social proof made me try it! Great job!

Love this! I’ve tried dozens of todo apps and this might be my favorite. Great balance of minimalism in functionality but high attention to UX detail! A few moments when I felt the app didn’t behave as I expected (that means the UX is super - my brain/hand expected the app to behave naturally): - I wanted to swipe/flick items to later. Maybe flick them downwards or swipe left (“snooze” except they stay at later) - I wanted to click the empty space in Soon to create a new todo. Like maybe a placeholder for new todo that you can click. It felt too far away to press the plus and especially unexpected that the text field appeared at the top. - at times I had issues removing the keyboard. It would be there without me editing anything. Maybe it could disappear if I touch outside it or swipe down. Great job Adam!

Congrats on the launch! Delightful and focused little app to use. Might even replace usage of the GOAT iOS Notes app for me ;)

Simplistically elegant, useful features, developed by a brilliant designer. Congrats on the launch bud!

This app is such a joy to use - so simple and straight to the point that it becomes an obvious option for keeping track of your tasks.
