TwinPanel is a free two-panel file manager for Windows (Linux beta). Servers (SFTP, FTP, WebDAV) open like folders, with an encrypted vault, plus an integrated terminal, archives, search, folder sync and multi-rename. Free, even at work.

I've used two-panel file managers every day since 2003, but a few things were missing for me: servers that behave exactly like local folders, a terminal right inside the file manager, and the same settings on my Windows and Linux machines.
So I built TwinPanel, step by step, with the help of the AI Claude Code: I described what I wanted, tested everything myself, and kept going until it worked the way I wanted.
It's free (also for business use) and the source code is visible on GitHub. The installer isn't code-signed yet, so Windows may warn you: "More info" → "Run anyway".
