I'm Jerome, the maker of Twice.
The idea came from a simple frustration: messaging apps only let you talk to people you already know, and dating apps reduce everyone to a swipe. Nothing in between helps you actually meet the people physically around you.
So I built Twice around three moments:
1. Meet: a live map shows who is nearby (locations are approximate by design, privacy first)
2. Call: voice calls are built in, because a 2-minute call tells you more than 50 messages
3. Remember: every person you meet becomes a card in your wallet, so real-life encounters are never lost
Profiles are selfie-verified to keep the community real.
