I built TVP because I was frustrated by how rigid and underpowered video players are. I wanted to solve that by bringing true native power directly to the browser. The goal wasn't just to build another wrapper around an HTML5 tag though.
The biggest evolution was our architecture. When I first started, the UI and the video logic were tightly tangled together, which quickly turned into a spaghetti mess of event listeners.
To fix this, I completely scrapped the traditional approach and engineered what I call S.I.A (State & Intent Architecture). Instead of the UI directly commanding the video, it talks to a reactive core. This shift completely transformed the project, it made the player infinitely extensible.
