Meal planning meets shopping list — built for families fed up with endless top-up shops. Plan your week's meals, and TurtleShop builds your list automatically. Items sort by where things live in your house. The whole family stays in sync via iCloud. Lives on Apple Watch too. 10% of every subscription goes to Trussell's food bank network. Built solo. First app. Just shipped.
Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Chris — I built TurtleShop in my spare time alongside a day job, and it took four years and a pretty brutal App Store review process to get here.
The idea came from our own family habit of writing a paper list organised by where things live in the house — fridge, freezer, cupboards. No app did it quite that way, so I built one.
The meal planning side grew naturally from that: plan the week's meals, and the ingredients just appear on your list. One big shop, fewer expensive top-ups mid-week.
10% of every subscription goes to Trussell, who run the UK's food bank network — food and shopping feel like the right category for that.
Happy to answer anything about the build, the Apple Watch integration, the CloudKit family sharing, or the four App Store rejections I had to fight through 😅

Who hunted TurtleShop?
TurtleShop was hunted by Chris Turner. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
