I was trying to learn something from a YouTube tutorial a few weeks ago. 47 minutes long, lots of talking, sponsor promos, side tangents, “smash that like button”… and at the end I realised I still didn’t have the actual steps written down. I had to watch it again. 😩 So I built this. Paste a YouTube link → it turns the whole thing into a step-by-step guide you can actually follow. No fluff, no filler, just the actions and tools you need. It’s honestly a little ridiculous that this didn’t already exist. But I know it's a bit stupid as well 😅 I made it for myself because I learn visually but I work text-first. And now I can grab the guide, copy it to my notes, save it for later, or follow it like a recipe. It’s weirdly addictive. Is this silly? Yes. Will it save people hours of rewinding, pausing, and scrubbing? Also yes. 🧠 What it does: Summarises any YouTube tutorial into clear steps Pulls out tools, requirements, actions Lets you copy/export the guide instantly Saves past guides so you never lose anything Why I’m sharing it today: Because I built this for fun. But the first time it worked, I got chills and thought I had to share it. It felt like learning finally bent to me, not the other way around. If you try it, I’d love your feedback. Brutal honesty is always welcome. If it helps you skip one long video, mission accomplished. Thanks for reading. Now go learn something in 1/10th the time. 👇

It seems like many people who watch coding tutorials are extra interested. I'm looking for some more in depth feedback for this case. If you'd be open to share how we can provide the best value, please send an e-mail to [email protected]. Would love to ask you some questions and shape how the future learning of tech related topics can be improved massively.

Cheers to what felt like a silly, stupid idea 🤣

Wow, TubeGuide is genius! The step-by-step breakdown is perfect for coding tutorials. How does it handle fast-paced videos where the instructor jumps around a lot?

Very useful service! I have a theoretical question: if we process not YouTube videos but live video streams, which AI do you think could handle this well today? My goal is to understand what the person is doing.

As someone who always forgets the steps right after watching a video… this is such a relief. Super useful.

This is very good and needed. I enjoy long-form Youtube videos, but a lot of times I want to get the notes from the videos. Solves a lot for some of us.

Does TubeGuide transcribe all videos? Some videos usually seem to be blocked from getting transcribed by platforms like ChatGPT, even on Gemini.

Super useful! I hope the list in Tools & Resources can have a hyperlink to it.

@robin_gustafsson TubeGuide is such a clever concept. Converting YouTube videos into step-by-step notes addresses a major pain point, especially for tutorial-heavy content where you're constantly pausing and rewinding to follow along.

I'm curious, how does the AI determine what constitutes a "step"? Does it recognize visual cues, timestamps, or verbal transitions? And can users customize the level of detail in the notes, like getting high-level overviews versus granular breakdowns?

Also, does TubeGuide handle different content types differently, like coding tutorials versus cooking videos versus design walkthroughs? I'd imagine each has its own unique structure.

This could be a game changer for learning workflows!

There are numerous free alternatives available. Could you please explain why I should consider paying for this? This is a genuine question.

I think this a much needed tool especially for technical tutorials. Only issue is I need visuals. So a timestamped, hyperlinked screen shot of the action. I can effectively do the same thing in Notebook LM or Gemini 3 but with far more control. But a snapshot of the moment where action is taken or the section of software they are referring too or the prompt/text/codesnippet they are using. I am sure its a technical beast to achieve. Best way of explaining is Youtube to Scribe.

Very useful tool, I often found myself needing a bit of info from a video in text format. Plug this into an AI and you can do awesome things :)

TubeGuide could save tons of time by generating notes for videos! that is so useful in this fast paced era lol

This is easily one of the most practical tools I’ve seen in a while. Everyone learns from YouTube, nobody has time for the fluff.

I really loved that you gave the feature to copy paste the Guide to Notion. I would love to see, if you also add timestamps, which will help us go to that particular part of the video when required.

Wow. A lot more people than I thought seemed to have had this issue, we've got a LOT of new users today so far. Keep trying it, keep writing in the "Feedback" window at the bottom left once logged in. Love it! Such a stupid and silly idea haha. Happy it resonated

This is really cool. I tested it with a recipe I keep coming back to. Life saver that I could easily copy and paste into Notion. Awesome job

This looks interesting... we indeed, waste a lot of time watching and rewatching tutorial videos and this can be an absolute timesaver.. Good luck on the launch!

This solves such a real problem. I've been there - watch a 30 min tutorial and still confused about what to do.

Love that you're making it AI-powered. Quick question - does it work for technical tutorials too? Like coding or design? That's where I think the real value is.

Great product! 😟

It's a great tool. Highly useful for making notes.

Congrats on the launch 🎉
