Hi, I'm Daniel - I built this on my own from Ireland. It actually started in museums. I never wanted to queue up and rent the audio-guide handset, but wandering around with no context is worse - so I built a guide that plays in my ear from my own phone with my own earphones, telling me about the thing I'm standing in front of. Then I tried it outside and it worked even better: a city is basically a museum but just way bigger. So now it does whole cities too. You pick a city (or a museum), it gives you a route, and the audio plays stop by stop as you walk. Every city has a free walk (I call it the Trove Edit) - the full walk, not a teaser, so you can judge it without paying anything. Couple of honest things: it only just launched, so there are basically no users yet - you'd genuinely be among the first, and I want the blunt feedback. And playing a walk needs a quick Google sign-in, because generating the audio costs me real money per clip. Free means free - there's just one tap to sign in first. If you try one, tell me which city and what you thought. Bad news is more useful than good.

Who hunted Trove?

Trove was hunted by Daniel Lucey. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
