Trekka started as a simple bicycle speedometer and grew into a GPS activity tracker for cycling, hiking, walking and trips. Now Trekka is available on Android. Track your route, speed, distance, moving time, weather and calories in real time, review your activity history, and share your adventures. Trekka focuses on simple, practical tracking without unnecessary complexity.
Trekka started with a very simple idea: I wanted a speedometer for my bicycle.
While building it, I added hiking because that was another activity I regularly did and wanted to track. Running came along with it — the app could already handle it, so it made sense to support it too.
Later I started riding a motorcycle, so motorcycle trips became part of Trekka. And from there came another thought: why not track car trips as well?
Over time, that simple bicycle speedometer grew into a GPS activity tracker for cycling, hiking, running, walking, motorcycle rides and car trips, with route recording, live statistics, weather, activity history, sharing and GPX export.
Trekka first launched on iOS, and today I’m launching the Android version.
It’s an evolving indie project built around things I actually use myself. I’d really appreciate feedback from Android users — what works well, what could be improved, and what you’d like to see next.
