Trading Diary: Trade Journal for iPad
Trading Journal with focus on risk and position sizing
Trading Diary is an iPad trade journal for serious traders who want to plan better, manage risk, and improve discipline. Calculate position size, manage planned/open/closed trades, attach charts, grade entries and exits, review stats, track your equity curve, and learn from every decision. Built for stocks, futures, crypto, and forex, with trade records stored locally on your iPad for more privacy and control.
We built Trading Diary because, as traders ourselves, we felt that most trading journals start too late.
Many tools import trades from brokers after the trade has already happened. That’s useful for reporting, but it doesn’t help much with the most important part: planning the trade before entry, defining the risk, sizing the position, and deciding whether the setup is worth taking.
Trading Diary is built around that workflow. Before opening a position, you can plan the trade, calculate position size based on risk, define stops and targets, and understand your total exposure. Afterward, you can review the result, grade your entry and exit, attach charts, and learn from the decision.
The app is inspired by the disciplined trading and risk-management approach popularized by Dr. Alexander Elder. We wanted to bring that kind of structured thinking into a focused, private iPad app — not another signals tool, but a journal that helps traders become more deliberate, consistent, and self-aware.
