TradeVulcan came from a pretty simple frustration: home service companies have more software than ever, but somehow owners and teams are still doing way too much of the work themselves.
You have one tool for your CRM, another for marketing, another for calls, another for reviews, another for follow-up, and a dashboard for everything. Even when the software is good, someone still has to know where to click, what report to run, what lead fell through the cracks, and what needs to happen next.
I kept coming back to the idea that software shouldn’t need to be navigated so much as directed.
That became the foundation for TradeVulcan, and eventually Vulcan Intelligence Work Mode with Actions. Instead of just asking AI questions about your business, we wanted contractors to be able to tell it what outcome they want and have it actually help do the work across their systems, while keeping the owner in control.
The goal has always been bigger than building another chatbot or another point solution. We’re trying to build an operating layer for home service companies that connects their tools, understands their business, catches opportunities they’re missing, and increasingly lets them run the company by intent instead of menus.
A lot of this was inspired by seeing firsthand how much time great contractors spend managing software instead of managing their business. We thought there had to be a better way.
