Torchly is also an indie-built product, created from the ground up with a focus on simplicity, usability, and thoughtful design. Sometimes the best product isn't the one with the most features — it's the one that does one thing really well.
Torchly takes a simple everyday utility and focuses on making it cleaner, faster, and more pleasant to use. Instead of loading a flashlight app with unnecessary features, Torchly is built around a straightforward experience: open the app, turn on the light, and get on with your day. Torchly is my first attempt at taking a very small idea and treating it like a real product—from development and design to testing, distribution, and marketing.
I'm interested in seeing whether a simple utility can stand out through better execution rather than trying to win by adding endless features.
The launch is also an experiment: can a solo indie developer take a tiny app from idea → product → distribution → real users?
That's what I'm hoping to find out with Torchly.
