Normally, making product videos is an absolute headache. You either spend forever wrestling with After Effects or drop a ton of cash on an agency. I gave this a spin and all I had to do was drop in a few screenshots and type out a quick brief. It automatically mapped out the whole product story and structured the scenes for me.

The best part is that it doesn't just spit out random clips like typical AI video tools—it actually gets how product launches work. It handles the music and sound effects automatically, so you don't have to waste time hunting down external audio. Plus, you can tweak individual shots directly in the Canvas interface instead of having to regenerate the whole video just to fix one tiny thing, which is a lifesaver when you're in a rush.

Got on the site to try this, added my prompt + images which was multiple lines, when i submitted it asked for singnup but after succesful login, the prompt that images i submitted vanished :" , do i have to purchase credits to start? if thats the case where can i resume this chat from?

This is awesome for indie hackers. How’s the rendering speed during peak hours?

Motion Studio seems incredibly intuitive compared to the steep learning curve of After Effects, which I've always struggled with. How well does it handle rendering complex 3D product imports if I have my own assets?

Reference images plus a style choice is a much narrower ask than a blank prompt box. How close does the first render usually land?

put the interface doing the actual thing as frame one and cut the title card entirely. that was the whole gallery decision for me yesterday, everything after it mattered less. aaron oleary has said a weak gallery makes him skim past a listing, so its not only polish. what id want from motion studio is a mode that spits the stills out too. i built both by hand and it was the same story twice :)

This feels especially useful for small teams where the maker is also doing all the launch content.

Does it also handle music and sound effects, or should those be added separately?

Can I make small edits after the video is generated, or do I need to generate the whole thing again?

I like that the workflow starts with the product story rather than just generating random visuals. Good launch videos need to explain the product clearly for me.

Making the product is hard enough, then somehow the launch video becomes its own mini project this hits a little too close to home. Congrats on the launch!

How much material do I need to prepare before starting? Are a few screenshots and a short description enough?
