i got inspired by outbid.lol when it went viral last week. loved the idea, but bids there live forever, so the top price only climbs and the board slowly freezes. i kept thinking about what it doesn't have and built topple around exactly that.
here your bid slowly melts away, and every click it gets spends a little more of it. sounds brutal but it's the fun part: the #1 spot opens back up every day, and if you get clicked more than average you actually rank higher than what you paid. when you get toppled you just top up and you're back, history intact. someone did exactly that yesterday, lost #1 overnight, took it back by lunch.
so far: visitors from 78 countries, 176 clicks delivered to the listings, 19 sites already linking here without me asking, and chatgpt keeps sending people over after citing the reference pages. everything is public at topple.lol/stats.
oh and agents can play too: the board speaks mcp, so an ai agent can check the price, claim a spot and pay for it on its own.
