Hey Product Hunt 👋 Toolzo started with a small annoyance. I needed to compress a photo to under 50KB for a government exam form. Every tool I found wanted me to upload the photo to their server, wait in a queue, sign up for a free account, and then stamped a watermark on it anyway. For a file I just wanted to shrink. So I built the tool for myself. Then the same thing happened with a PDF I needed to merge, and a rent receipt I needed for HRA, and an EMI I wanted to check before accepting a loan offer. Two years later that pile of small fixes is 300+ tools. The one rule I kept: everything runs in your browser. Toolzo has no upload endpoint. When you compress a PDF, the pdf-lib code runs on your machine, the file never touches a server, and there is nothing for me to store or leak. It also happens to be faster, because there is no round trip. A few things people seem to use most: • Compress image to an exact KB target — for exam and job form uploads • Passport photo maker — crops to spec and lays out a printable 4x6 sheet • Rent receipt generator — for HRA claims, a full year in one go • robots.txt generator and UTM link builder — for the SEO and marketing folks • Old vs new tax regime comparison — shows the exact rupee difference It is free, there is no account, and there is no upsell waiting at the download button. I am not sure yet how it pays for itself long term, but that is a later problem. Would genuinely like to know: which small task do you still do the annoying way because the free tools all want an account? That is usually where the next one comes from.
