Physical disposable cameras are expensive, and asking guests to download another photo-sharing app ruins the vibe. Tonight's Lens is a PWA that turns smartphones into retro cameras via a simple QR scan. Guests snap raw, unfiltered moments with analog film filters applied instantly. Features include a live slideshow cast, a private host dashboard for moderation, and a next-morning shared album reveal
Hey hunters! Kos here. Today I’m launching Tonight's Lens.
We all know the modern party problem: everyone is glued to their screens trying to capture the "perfect" shot, applying filters, and instantly posting. It kills the vibe.
I wanted to bring back the raw, unfiltered fun of the 90s without the $250+ price tag of buying real Kodak cameras for 100 guests. Tonight's Lens is a digital disposable camera that requires absolutely NO app downloads. Guests just scan a QR code on their table.
But here is the feature I’m most proud of: The Next-Morning Reveal. Nobody can see the photos during the event. They all process overnight and drop into a shared gallery the next morning. It forces people to stay in the moment and gives everyone a massive highlight reel at breakfast.
I built the MVP to be as seamless as possible for both the host (live moderation, instant QR generation) and the guest.
Check out the free demo roll on the site, and let me know how you’d use this at your next meetup or party!

Who hunted Tonight's Lens?
Tonight's Lens was hunted by Konstantin Rusanov. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
