Hunted byDarren YouDarren You

TinyText helps designers and developers generate compact font files from TTF, OTF, WOFF and WOFF2. Keep only digits, letters or custom character sets, choose the variable font weights you need, track progress and download clean subsets for apps, websites, posters and widgets.

Top comment

I built TinyText because shipping an entire font family is often unnecessary for small web/app surfaces. The goal is simple: import a font, pick the characters and weights you actually need, and export a smaller, cleaner file. It now supports both the web version and macOS, including variable-font workflows like selecting only Bold, Light or Expanded Black instead of processing a full SF Pro package. I would love feedback from people working on web performance, app assets or typography-heavy projects.

Who hunted TinyText?

TinyText was hunted by Darren You. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
