Top comment

Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I built Timeline Studio because creating a simple narrated video often means jumping between separate tools for voiceovers, captions, audio cleanup, timeline editing, and export. Many of those tools also require uploading the original media to a remote server. Timeline Studio brings that workflow into one local-first browser workspace. You can generate multilingual AI voiceovers, create automatic captions, separate vocals, arrange everything on a real multi-track timeline, experiment with talking avatars, and export the result as WebM. Most AI and media processing happens directly on your device. The project is open source and still experimental. Initial model downloads can be large, and some advanced features work best on recent desktop hardware, but I wanted to share the progress early and learn from real creators. I’d especially love your feedback on the onboarding experience, browser performance, and which workflow you’d like us to improve next. Thanks for checking it out! 🚀

This is awesome! I make videos for Tiktok and Reels on Capcut which is super expensive and sometimes buggy, especially on laptop. I've begun creating a video on this product and so far it's going great! The amount of AI features is insane for what's been free for me so far. I'd say the main strong point though is how responsive everything feels, everything I click happens very quickly and so the usage flow is great. How exactly are the AI tasks done? Is there an API call to some other model?
