I built TikHug because TikTok Stories are short-lived, but there wasn’t a simple, browser-based way to check active public stories by username or profile URL without logging into TikTok.
TikHug focuses on one clear use case: helping people view and save available public TikTok story media — videos, photos, and audio — before it disappears. I wanted the tool to be fast, simple, and honest about its limits: it only works with public, currently available content, and it cannot access private or expired stories.
While building it, the product evolved from a basic TikTok downloader into a more focused TikTok Story Viewer, with clearer media separation, related TikTok tools, and guides that explain what works, what doesn’t, and why.
