Tijori reads passports, IDs, licences and bank cards with the camera — on the phone, even in airplane mode — files them by person, and reminds you before anything expires. Every field is encrypted with AES-256-GCM. No account, no server, no analytics.
Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Sadiq, and I built Tijori.
A tijori is the steel safe that sits in a cupboard in almost every home between Casablanca and Karachi. It holds the passports, the gold, the title deed. It has one key, and the family knows who keeps it. I wanted the phone version to make the same promise.
What it does
📷 Point the camera at a passport, ID, licence or card. It reads the name, number and dates on the phone, in Latin and Arabic script, even in airplane mode. Passport check digits, IBANs and card numbers are verified before anything is saved. A field is either right, or empty and asking.
🛂 Reads the NFC chip in passports.
👨👩👧 Files documents by folder and by person: you, your partner, your kids, your parents.
⏰ Reminds you 6 months, 3 months, 1 month and 1 week before anything expires, without ever showing a document number on the lock screen.
🔐 A Vault with its own passcode (Face ID deliberately not accepted), growing lockouts after wrong codes, and blank screenshots.
🔗 Share one folder, read-only, with a link that works once.
The decision I'd like you to push back on
There's no account. Every field, scan and folder name is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before it's written. The key is made on your iPhone and only moves between your own devices through iCloud Keychain. We never hold a copy. So if you lose your devices and your recovery code, nobody can open your documents, including us. The app tells you this up front. I think it's the only honest promise for a document app, but I know it's a real trade-off.
Pricing: free for 5 documents. Tijori+ is $0.99/month, $9.99/year, or $25.99 lifetime at launch. If you stop paying, nothing gets locked or deleted.
Available in English, Arabic, Spanish, French and Portuguese, on iPhone and iPad (iOS 26+).
I'll be here all day, and I'm happiest with the hard questions about the crypto or the no-recovery choice. What's the one document you always end up hunting for?
