I got tired of invoicing tools that charge per client and bury a two minute job under six screens, so I built the one I wanted.
Tidybill covers the whole billing loop: run a timer, turn billable hours into invoice lines, send a branded PDF, and let the client pay by card from a portal. Quotes, recurring invoices, expenses, late fees and reminders are all built in, with twelve reports and CSV export on every list.
Two parts took the longest and I am glad they are there. EU e-invoicing (PEPPOL BIS 3.0 and ZUGFeRD) so B2B invoices in Germany and France are compliant out of the box, and a FreshBooks importer that moves clients, invoices, time entries and expenses in one click.
