We built TicTease for the couples nobody builds for: the ones who have been together for years, who love each other, and whose evenings quietly disappear into routines, work and lists.
Most products in this space assume you're still looking for someone. We assumed you'd already found them.
The whole thing came out of one small design decision. Instead of two phones and two accounts, it's one phone that you pass back and forth. That single gesture changes the evening: you have to look up, hand something over, and wait for your turn. It slows things down instead of speeding them up.
The second decision was about consent. Before you play, each of you privately marks what you're open to giving and what you're open to receiving. A card only appears if one of you chose to give it and the other chose to receive it. Nothing arrives that you haven't both already agreed to. We wanted that to be the mechanic, not a checkbox buried in the terms.
We also kept it deliberately light: no email required, just a name you invent, and one single payment instead of a subscription. Asking people to subscribe to their own relationship felt wrong.
We're a two-person team in Portugal. My co-founder built it, I handled the brand and the writing, and it's live in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
