I actually launched on PH years ago when I first started Rent with Thred. I worked a 9-5 while I was running the whole thing out of my apartment in Venice Beach, which, looking back, was insane.
The reason I built it was pretty selfish. I didn't want to drain my house down payment on clothes I'd wear a handful of times a year. So instead I spent it all on inventory for customers. Better ROI than a house anyway, at least that's what I tell myself.
Three years later we've scaled a lot. I built the ops from scratch, kept margins tight, and thousands of guys have rented with us at this point.
The thing I kept hearing from guys was that they had a closet full of clothes and nothing to wear. That's the problem. You spend money on stuff, it sits there, and you still feel like you have nothing. Rent with Thred lets you rotate without owning. It's simpler, cheaper and nearly invisible, we're here when you need us.
Demand has been completely organic the whole time, which honestly is the only signal I trust. If you've ever stared at a full closet and still felt stuck, this one's for you. Glad to be back.
