Just a thought though: If you say "without the noise of likes, follows, or profiles" is your goal, then maybe implementing replies defeats your goal i.e. if there are no likes, follows etc, the noise will be replicated through replies & it's back to Square One.

I expected a social platform that cuts out negativity, but one without user profiles? That’s unexpected and it's awesome!
We’ve just pushed a small but meaningful update to ThotStream:
🗺️ You can now zoom in and out of the live thought map (finally!).
⌨️ Fixed that annoying typing lag — the input box is now buttery smooth.
