Organize all of your thingies, share them with peers (or with no one at all), look up your items from anywhere, write secret messages, pen notes to future self, build time capsules, set reminders — all via your smart labels (aka Thingy tags) and your phone
Happy "Spring Forward" week! Thanks to modern-day smartphones, we no longer have to manually change the time ourselves.
And now, with Thingy (our latest product), you can even "spring to the future" — instead of springing forward just by an hour. This highlights one of the many features: One where you can set a specific Thingy page to be visible only after a certain date and time. Anyone with proper permissions can then access the page simply by scanning the NFC smart label (aka Thingy tag).
As serial makers, we originally built Thingy for *ourselves* to better organize the miscellany of random doodads in our studios and offices.
When friends saw how useful the tool was for us, they started wanting to adopt it, too! That was when we realized perhaps more people would appreciate a public launch.
At the time of this Product Hunt launch, our Kickstarter campaign is still live with a whole host of early-bird discounts. Check them out for yourself to see if there's anything that piques your interest.
We did enable "Late Pledges" sort of as an experiment, which means you will still be able to pledge after the campaign ends. However, as recommended by Kickstarter, the prices will have been increased by then!
This work is really adorable! I also noticed that you were the creator of the ASCII fireworks before. I really admire how you always find the connection between technology and real life!
First of all it's impossible to not like it with this name!
Second, very cool design. All my best of luck to you and I will try it this weekend
Clean, simple, and effective. Love it! Wishing you huge success with this.
The idea of building a time capsule is very creative and adds a unique significance to this product. All the best for your project!
Very interesting! I think it could be used in many different areas. Huge congratulations on your launch! 🎉
This has 90s vibe. And I love it! :) Wish you a good luck with the launch, Kathy! :)
