What inspired it: job hunting wore me down in a specific way. Links scattered across bookmarks and notes, forgetting where I'd applied, and every rejection or ghosting making it harder to send the next application. Spreadsheets tracked the jobs, but they did nothing for the motivation.
So I built thehunt: a job application tracker with a daily hunt streak, like the streaks that keep people learning a language, but for applying.
What it does:

🟦 Seven clear statuses: Saved → Applied → Interviewing → Offer → Hired, plus Rejected and Ghosted. Swipe a card to move it forward.
🔥 One application a day keeps your streak alive. Freezes cover missed days, and your flame changes color at 7, 30, 50, and 100 days.
👻 No reply after 21 days? It gently asks if you got ghosted, but never decides for you.
📊 Stats, a year of activity, and Past wins, so every job you land stays on record.
How it evolved: I started with a plain tracker, then kept cutting fields until adding a job took under 10 seconds. The biggest shift was focusing on motivation over data: celebrating showing up instead of dwelling on rejections. That's where the streak, the flame colors, and the little celebrations came from.
Pricing: tracking, streaks, stats, and CSV export are free. An optional one-time Hunt Pass adds 90 days of CSV import, follow-up reminders, weekly recaps, Interview Hub, and deeper insights. No subscription, nothing auto-renews.
