Hey Product Hunt 👋 I've been working on a strange internet experiment over the last few weeks. I recently caught myself thinking about the old internet, the slow, quiet web with no social media, live chats built right into websites, that whole vibe. And I wonder if people today actually miss those feelings. So I got an idea. The starting point was obviously that wild experiment, the Million Dollar Homepage, just to see if it could be reworked with a modern spin and adapted to today's mechanics, built around social media, fomo, and all those modern tricks. I called the whole concept The Wall Of The Million and it’s stupidly simple: buy a tiny grid box for a few cents, put your name, a message, choose your colors, emoji, even a personal link... and that's it. You own a piece of a giant canvas under construction. No logos, no images to upload, just your presence on a wall full of colorful blocks. But there’s a catch: you can't choose your tile. You always get the next one in line. It’s like slowly building a real wall, one brick at a time. So when you enter, you don't see a giant empty grid of 1,000,000 squares, or a big white canvas, you only see the tiles that have actually been unlocked so far. Also, the price grows sub-linearly (insanely slowly) with each claim, scaling from over the 1 million spots. This rewards early adopters while making future spots feel increasingly exclusive. The whole idea is to see whether people would actually want to "build it" together and become part of something that has no practical purpose, just a permanent little piece of internet history, a digital time capsule. Now, after weeks of working on this (I'm stupid, right?), I'm facing that classic post-deploy existential crisis every builder knows: did I just create something funny, or an absolutely useless pixel graveyard? Does this feel like an interesting "social" experiment, or is it just completely ridiculous? I'm genuinely curious to hear what you guys think of it. Would love your brutal feedback on the concept, the UX, the design, whatever! Thanks!
