The Sift Now is an independent field guide and toolkit for Minecraft's The Sift. It separates official Minecraft announcements from community mod content, with compatibility checks, installation guidance, portal tools, troubleshooting, release tracking, and browsable mobs, items, and biomes. Version metadata is monitored from first-party mod sources so players can quickly see what works with their setup.
I built The Sift Now because information about The Sift was scattered across official Minecraft announcements, community mods, author pages, and version-specific releases.
The biggest problem was that it was often hard to tell what was officially announced, what came from a community mod, and whether a specific mod actually worked with your Minecraft setup.
So I built a field guide around that problem: compatibility checking, install guidance, portal tools, troubleshooting, release tracking, and browsable mobs, items, and biomes — while keeping official Minecraft information clearly separated from community content.
It’s still early, so I’d especially love feedback on the tools and what information players would want to see next.
