Hey hunters 👋 I'm Akash. I fell down the mechanical-keyboard rabbit hole and hit the same wall everyone does: you can read 50 reviews about whether a board sounds "thocky" or "clacky," but you can't hear it without buying it. Sound is the whole point, and it's the one thing you can't experience online. So I built The Listening Museum, 36 keyboards, each individually sound-mapped. Click one, then type on your own keyboard and you'll hear that board's exact sound. From the IBM Model M that sounds like a machine gun, to the silent HHKB, to modern customs people spend a weekend tuning. It started as a data-viz experiment on sheets.works and turned into the thing I most wish existed when I was choosing my first board. Curious which one you land on, and which keyboards I should add next.
