The Expensive List
A numbered place on the web. Your number is your price.
An internet experiment with one rule: spot #N costs N euros. Add your name, a message and an optional link to a numbered public page. One payment, no subscription. Browse the list before deciding whether to take a place.
Hi, I'm Alex, the maker of The Expensive List.
I built a website around one rule: spot #N costs N euros. The number is the price, and each published spot becomes a public page with your name, a short message and an optional link.
The experience is deliberately small: there is no feed or subscription. You can mark a milestone, dedicate a message or leave a record of something that matters to you.
My vision: over time, this becomes a status symbol. Each spot sold makes the next one more expensive - if the list reaches #1714, not everyone will be able to afford their number. I imagine it as a digital trophy that people will show off on their websites, profiles and channels. Being on The Expensive List will carry prestige. And if one day you want to change your link, you can do so for €10.
It is not an investment and it does not promise an audience: it is a paid place in a public internet experiment. You can browse the spots without buying anything.

Who hunted The Expensive List?
The Expensive List was hunted by Alex Mena. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
