A mechanical, stage-enforced protocol for solving structural problems through rigorous analogy to an established domain. Not a framework or heuristic: a process that runs to completion and produces a defensible answer. Analog Method is designed for questions that resist resolution from within their own field. It changes where the problem is examined, derives under explicit constraints, maps the result back, and adversarially tests the derivation.
Over the course of 16 months, I exchanged nearly 150 million words with various AI platforms as I worked on constructing a theory that helps unite the two disparate fields of physics. After a time, I started using the analog method subconsciously. Eventually, it drifted far enough to the surface of my awareness that I began to use it intentionally with the help of AI. Over time I refined the method until I ultimately decided to turn it into an application that makes use of the method convenient and engaging. And so, the Analog Method was born!
