You don't have a swing problem — you have a practice problem. The Adaptive Golfer brings strokes-gained measurement to everyday practice: diagnose your game, get a plan that adapts, and see whether each session actually worked. Built by a golfer who got worse, then fixed it.

Hello Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Scott, a software engineer and avid golfer. I'm proud to introduce The Adaptive Golfer, both a web application and a book that have been years in the making. Born out of the frustration of beating balls on the range (or into a screen in my garage) and struggling to improve.

A few winters ago I spent over $5,000 on a garage golf simulator to finally get better during the winter break. I went into the winter a 7 handicap and came out a 9 — measurably worse, with a self-built hook a coach needed most of the summer to fix. The problem was never effort. It was that all my practice had no structure, no measurement, and no feedback. I was hitting balls and hoping.

So I did the thing engineers do: I rebuilt practice as a system. The Adaptive Golfer brings the strokes-gained logic that transformed professional golf down to the two or three hours a week a normal adult actually has:

* Diagnose your game across five skill pillars
* Practice a plan built for your weak spots, not a generic list
* Measure every session with Practice Strokes Gained — a real number, not a feeling that changes day-to-day
* Adjust automatically as you improve

It started as a book (also launching today on Amazon), then became the software, because I tried to run the system on paper and twice failed to keep it up by hand. 😅

Two launch-day things:

🎁 PH exclusive: code PH30 gets you 30% off your first payment. Best value is on the annual plan ($144 → $100.80 for a full year). Launch week only, expires Aug 4. The app has a 14-day free trial with no card, so you can run the whole system before deciding.

📖 The companion book launched on Amazon this morning too — the complete method on paper, and the eBook is $0.99 for the first 72 hours.

I'd genuinely love this crowd's take: what's the one part of your golf game you've never been able to measure? I'll be here all day answering everything.
