But you’re wrong — no, it isn’t. And we have a rock solid alibi — Textok’s prototype was created before the ChatGPT era. So, what IS Textok then? 🪷 Our vision was (and still IS) nothing less than grand — we want to make writing a happy place. We want to make people like you happy. Empowered with skilfully packed strategic decisions about your communication’s tone and style into packets that you can put together yourself. And forget about prompting tone for your texts forever — to your human copywriters. Or AI. And now it’s available to you free of cost. We’ve been there (for many years) — meeting the “burning” deadlines. Hearing “not sounding quite right” as the only feedback. Having 5 people commenting on one piece of text (from the “specific word haters” to ironic “I’d do it better myself” comments). Indeed, being a writer you risk burning out. You risk having to match poorly defined expectations. You risk to forget how the creative flame really felt in the very beginning. 🙇 And then, one day, we met Alex. A communication manager who rarely slept well, regretted not spending enough time with her 2-year-old daughter, and who still was not meeting those deadlines. And still wasn't happy about the consistency in texts, or how the voice of their company’s brand translated into texts. We worked with Alex on a project, developing really detailed tone and style guidelines (we developed a lot of them in the past years). We needed to make sure that - everybody would understand the brand's tone of voice in the same way - everyone would have the same point of reference for corporate communication We developed that extremely detailed document with examples just to find out that it will never work. The company had a clean desk policy. And the company decided to keep the guidelines only in a paper format. Meaning, the guides ended up in a drawer.
