I'm Lehel, builder of TextMatchCut.
You've seen the effect: a word stays locked in place while headlines, clippings and pages flash behind it. Documentary channels and news explainers use it everywhere. Making one by hand takes an hour in an editor. The tools that do it for you want a signup, put a watermark on the free export, or bury the effect inside a big suite.
So I built a tool that does only this one effect:
1. Type a phrase
2. Highlight a word
3. Download an HD MP4
Some details:
- Rendering happens in your browser, so nothing you type is uploaded
- 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9 presets for TikTok, Reels, Shorts and YouTube
- Sound effects (paper shuffle, camera shutter, film advance…), plus controls for cuts per second, zoom and blur
- No account, no watermark, free for commercial use
To be upfront: each video unlocks after one short ad. That pays for keeping it free, and it pays for the next free tools I want to build.
