I'm excited to announce Lygon's first project, and it quickstarts a path of learning for myself.
I'm currently working on a project called Tessera Lite, and I wanted to share it here to see what people think.
In my own experience with past portfolios, keeping a custom site looking good also takes constant maintenance. While building one from scratch is a fine learning exercise, maintaining portfolio CSS and Front-End code is rarely the skill that gets a developer hired. Plus, not everyone likes it. Heck, at my last company, some backend developers ran away crying from anything that involved design.
The point of Tessera Lite is to provide a dashboard where a developer can pick a role, choose a handle for a litessera.com subdomain, and set up a profile without writing frontend code or managing hosting. It includes four layouts (Classic, Sidebar, Bento, and Showcase, and soon more to be added), theme customization for colors, fonts, and dark/light modes, project covers, social links, private email controls, and optional GitHub repository syncing. Changes update live in the preview before saving, and it handles basic SEO so Google indexes pages automatically. It costs $10 a month.
What's next: I'm currently working on adding more layouts, custom domain support, and deeper analytics so developers can see when recruiters view their projects.
