Roadster can perform at levels unlike any other production car. It goes beyond Plaid to unlock an entirely new dimension of driving. It challenges the limits of design, engineering and physics to deliver an expertly crafted extra-terrestrial vehicle.

Hi everyone!

Tesla once put a Roadster in a rocket. Now there's a rocket in the Roadster.

At the reveal, it drove up a wall and held itself upside down with fan suction, then left the ramp, rolled in midair with cold-gas thrusters and landed on its wheels. Later it hopped over a Tesla Semi.

The suction fans come on every trim, including the Performance version you can reserve now. Thrust adds rear thrusters for 0-60 in under a second. Only the invite-only Rocket gets the full set, and that's the one that flies. It isn't approved for public roads.

Musk calls it the last Tesla meant to be driven by hand, and "not necessarily a safety-optimized car" !🫨

Honestly an awesome demo, blew my mind. But I do prefer the previous tesla roadster design. This one looks like a baby lambo but not in a good way

I love how bold the design is. It really stands out from the usual sports cars.

It seems almost unreal! Yet here it is - it exists, and you can try it out.

Congrats to the Tesla team, and thanks Zac for the hunt. Putting suction fans on every trim while reserving full thrusters for the invite-only Rocket makes the lineup unusually tiered. Since the Rocket is not approved for public roads, is the Performance reserve trim meant as the street-legal path in the US, or is even that package aimed at closed-course use first?
