I'm Tom, a developer from the UK. I built Terrace FC because every World Cup I end up in a group chat where someone shares a spreadsheet for predictions — and it's always a nightmare. Someone forgets to update it, the scores go wrong, half the group gives up by the group stage.
I wanted something that just works. Open the app, predict the score, see where you stand. No friction.
I submitted it to the App Store two weeks before the tournament started and got rejected three times — FIFA trademarks, missing account deletion, screenshots with the wrong text. Got there in the end.
The whole stack is SwiftUI + Supabase + an API-Football integration for live scores. Results are graded automatically via a Supabase Edge Function that runs every 5 minutes and fires push notifications when points are awarded.
If you're setting up a World Cup group with friends, give it a go. Takes about 30 seconds to get a group going.
