Hi Product Hunt! I’m Aymen, the maker of Tero.
I built Tero around a small interruption that adds up throughout the day: copying something, opening another tool, pasting it, getting a result, and returning to what you were doing.
I wanted useful actions to be closer to the content itself.
With Tero, you select text or a file on your Mac and press ⌘\. A compact action bar appears near your selection with options suited to what you selected.
Here are a few ways to use it:
• Correct a message, rewrite it, or adjust its tone.
• Translate a passage, simplify it, or extract its key points.
• Draft a reply to a selected message.
• Resize or convert an image from Finder.
• Rename a file based on its contents.
In compatible writing fields, Tero can replace the selected text after you choose an action. When you’re reading, the result appears in a card you can copy. Replies stay as drafts for you to review and send.
The selection is the starting point, so you don’t have to describe every task from scratch.
