Tend is a personal AI agent you text. No new app: it lives in iMessage or SMS and works inside your own accounts: Gmail, calendar, Shopify, QuickBooks, HubSpot. It replies to email in your voice, books tables, fills your cart, makes phone calls, finds leads and builds your website. The difference: nothing is sent, bought or changed without your yes, and what it learns about you sits in a Brain you can read and correct. It also texts you first with reminders, price watches and flight updates.

Hi everyone! I’m Hritvik, founder of Tend. Most AI assistants tell you what to do—but leave you to do the work. You still have to open the app, find the email, fill the cart, or make the call. I wanted an assistant you could text like a person, one that could actually get things done in your own accounts. That’s why we built Tend. It works through iMessage and SMS. Sign in with your phone number, connect the accounts you want it to work with—Gmail, your calendar, Shopify, QuickBooks, or HubSpot—and text it a task: “Reply to Dana that Thursday works.” “Find me a flight to Austin on the 3rd.” “What sold today?” “Find me 10 leads and draft outreach emails.” Two principles guide everything Tend does: You stay in control. Nothing is sent, purchased, booked, or changed without your approval. You review the proposed action first and give the final go-ahead. Its memory is transparent. What Tend learns about you goes into your “Brain,” a memory you can read and correct. Tend can also text you first when something you’ve asked it to monitor happens like an email reply arriving, a price dropping, or a flight changing. We’re invite-only during early access. Sign in at heytend.me with your phone number to request access, and tell me in the comments: What’s the first task you’d hand to Tend?

having a read-and-correct Brain next to approvals before anything gets sent is a nice touch for an assistant that answers email. if a drafted reply is off, do you edit it right in the text thread?

the first task I'd hand over is the morning check of what's waiting on me in email and calendar. we already have a Telegram agent at work that pings me first, so texting feels right. can the Brain hold a rule like never reply to this client without asking me?

Being able to read and correct the Brain is the detail I like here. A wrong assumption is much easier to deal with when you can actually find it.

Who hunted Tend?

Tend was hunted by hritvik Gupta. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
