Tell Me When Down watches your site at three depths — a free security scan of your public URL (SSL, headers, DNS, spoofing), a read-only GitHub App that finds CVEs and leaked secrets in your code, and an SDK for your DB, Stripe webhooks and cron jobs. You don't need to understand the findings — every one comes with a ready-to-paste fix. Hit "Copy for your AI tool" and the same agent that built your app fixes it. Uptime checks every 60s, plain-English alerts. Built for solo founders.
Hey Hunters
I built Tell Me When Down after getting burned by the two ways sites die quietly: a security gap you never checked, and downtime you hear about from a customer instead of a tool.
What makes it different is that it watches at three depths, and you opt into each one:
1. From outside — zero install. Paste a URL and get a free security check in seconds: SSL/TLS, security headers, DNS (DNSSEC, CAA), email spoofing (SPF/DMARC), exposed subdomains pulled from Certificate Transparency logs. No signup.
2. Inside your code — connect a repo. A read-only GitHub App checks your dependencies against the CVE database and greps your code (and git history) for secrets you committed by accident. It streams the repo, reports findings, and discards the source — we store the findings, not your code.
3. Inside your app — one SDK snippet. Now we watch the things a URL can't see: your database, Stripe webhooks, and silent cron jobs.
You don't need to understand any of it. Every finding comes with a plain-English explanation and a ready-to-paste fix. Hit "Copy for your AI tool" — or "Copy all" to bundle every issue into one paste — drop it into Claude or Cursor, and the same agent that built your app fixes it. Re-run the scan and fixed findings clear themselves. No security jargon, no rabbit holes.
On top of all three: uptime checks every 60s from three regions, and plain-English alerts to email, Telegram, or Slack — not jargon. It's built for solo founders shipping fast with AI tools, where the gotchas are Supabase projects pausing, Render spin-downs, expiring SSL certs, and dead webhooks.
Free to start, no card. I'd genuinely love your feedback — what would you want watched that nothing checks today?
UPVOTED!! the "copy for your ai tool" workflow was an interesting addition. most tools stop at telling you what's broken, yours tries to shorten the distance to actually fixing it. congrats on the launch 👏
Simple products often stick because they solve recurring problems. Curious—what feature surprised you by becoming more valuable to users than the uptime monitoring itself?
