Maker here. I kept having real conversations on Telegram and kept forgetting to press record, so half of them are now folklore.
Granola notices Zoom, Meet and Teams on its own. Telegram is not on that list. This app watches for a Telegram call, tells Granola to start, and stops it when the call ends. A notification with a Stop button shows up, in case that particular call is none of Granola's business.
It is free and open source, installs with one brew command, and needs Granola and macOS 14.4 or later.
Two honest caveats. Granola has no public start or stop command, so the app leans on undocumented parts of the desktop app, and every failure ends in a notification rather than silence. And recording people is your responsibility, not mine.
