TeamOut was founded in 2021 because of a problem we experienced ourselves: corporate event planning is one of the most painful tasks in companies. Budgets, flights, venues, AV, availability, trade-offs… and endless back-and-forth. It’s repetitive, highly conversational, slow, and incredibly fastidious.

Before TeamOut, I worked as an AI researcher at IBM, focusing on natural language processing and recommendation systems, and authored scientific papers in applied AI.

Really nice interface! We’re currently building a B2C travel map and planner, and in the next stage we want to integrate hotels as well.
Can I ask a couple of questions?
How did you achieve such fast responses? AI usually responds quite slowly, and you need to wait for the AI’s answer before calling the hotel API…
Which API did you choose for hotel searches? I read that to authorize in such APIs, you need to deposit at least $5–10k. Is that true?
Team building has always felt forced to me, but this approach seems more natural. I like that it focuses on actual interests rather than generic icebreakers. How does it handle remote teams across different time zones?

And from a PM's perspertive, I'm curious how you balance venue quality vs cost/budget constraints in your recommendations. Is it purely data-driven from past team reviews, or do you combine qualitative signals (like team size, event style, and desired vibe) into your model?
This is brilliant—turning a multi-week email marathon into a 10-minute conversation is exactly what distributed teams needed. Love that the AI keeps context when you pivot from “beachfront villa” to “actually, give me mountain cabins with fiber internet” mid-thread. Quick ask: does the copilot surface visa/entry requirements and seasonal weather averages alongside venue recs? That would save yet another spreadsheet! The framing of “conversational planning instead of filters” makes a lot of sense. Filters break the moment reality shifts, but a system that can reason and adapt feels like the right abstraction for this problem.
Curious how TeamOut handles conflicting constraints from multiple stakeholders over time (e.g. budget vs location vs dates) — that’s usually where things get messy. Congrats on getting this to market 🚀

I’ve just taken a brief look and found myself genuinely curious: what would you say is the key differentiation between this product and platforms like Airbnb or booking? Is the core innovation mainly centered around using AI for user understanding, information extraction, and qualification?
It made me think how will it handle distributed or global teams like ours. How does the AI handle visa constraints, time zones and travel complexity without oversimplifying the plan?
Once a plan is generated, can teams flexibly iterate, negotiate or customize deeply before actually booking everything?

team off-sites are one of those things everyone knows are valuable, yet planning them is always way more painful than it should be.
