The all-in-one youth sports team app with AI-powered playbook, scheduling, team communication, live game stat tracking, and roster management. Built for basketball, soccer, hockey, and more.
Team-HQ started because of frustration.
I’m not a tech founder or software engineer — I’m a parent with a kid in competitive travel basketball. Like most teams, we were using a popular sports communication app to manage schedules, messages, tournaments, and team updates. During one tournament weekend, a bunch of parents and coaches started talking about how frustrating it was to use and all the things it was missing.
I started taking notes.
Driving home from that tournament, I kept thinking about how there should be one central place for everything a team needs — schedules, communication, organization, team updates, and even tools for players like plays and development resources.
That idea became “Team Headquarters,” and eventually Team-HQ.
I started building it for our own team first. As coaches, parents, and players began using it, the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Every week someone would suggest another feature that would make team life easier, and that’s really how Team-HQ continues to evolve today.
This isn’t software built in a boardroom by people disconnected from youth sports. It’s being built by someone living the chaos of travel sports every single week — early mornings, tournaments, group chats, schedule changes, and all.
The goal is simple:
Build the app sports teams actually want to use.

Who hunted TeamHQ?
TeamHQ was hunted by Jamie Comber. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
